Here at Buchanan’s Native Plants, we’re always thinking about ways we can responsibly recycle or reuse materials we have at the garden center. One thing we end up with a lot of are wooden pallets. We considered selling the pallets or sending them back to our vendors but decided it would be more fun to see what our customers could come up by recycling them. And so, our Recycled Pallet Garden Project Contest was born!
Recycling, reusing and refreshing old items for gardening use is a great trend that we hope will stick around. Pallets can be used in so many ways to create interesting and convenient vertical planters and more. We want to see what you can come up with. We’re giving away our pallets for FREE at the garden center. All you have to do is pick yours up, come up with a creative idea, complete it and send us a high resolution print quality photo via Buchanan’s email, or print a quality image and bring it in to the garden center with your contact information by Sunday, June 30th. Make sure the image is clear and shows us how you’re using your pallet garden and be sure we know how to contact you. The Winner will be announced July 4th and will receive a $100 Gift Card to Buchanan’s!
